What the work looks like

Community infrastructure is often invisible until it works. It is the connective tissue between people who should know each other but do not yet share a room, a rhythm, or a reason to collaborate.

Obi’s contribution

  • Co-organizing recurring technical and cross-functional community events.
  • Creating formats that feel welcoming to both builders and operators.
  • Building consistency so the network becomes durable instead of novelty-driven.
  • Helping grow the series formerly known as Biz-Tech Mixer, now Startup Tech Connect, into a regularly running event with 75+ attendees since 2024.

Why this belongs on the site

For an emerging engineering leader, community work is not peripheral. It signals taste, generosity, and the ability to create opportunity beyond a single employer or project.

Public proof points

This project page pairs naturally with the appearances and talks listed on the content page, where the public record of that work is easier to see.
